  MODERNIZATION OF INDIAN TRADITION PROF YOGENDRA SINGH Prof. Yogendra Singh is a renowned Indian sociologist who has made significant contributions to the understanding and theorization of India’s modernization. Born in 1932, he has held various prestigious positions, including being the founder and director of the Centre for the Study of Social Systems at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
